Early January Crowds

Just returned from my first trip to Disney World (Jan 5-11). Monday through Thursday the crowds were very small. From opening until 1:00 pm we never had a wait of more than a few minutes, if any at all. Late afternoon the lines were 20-40 minutes. The weekend got busy with the marathon in town but by then I had ridden everything. Had the Contemporary to ourselves for the first 4 days.

Hope it's the same way in a few short weeks when I am there. Nothing like having short lines and the parks more or less to yourself.....I can't wait to go!

Thanks for the 'on the street' info.

I leave tomorrow and hope to see the same conditions.

Now I only have the weather as a variable.

And the counter says......................

Weather surprised me as it was cooler than I expected. Lots of 20 MPH winds for the entire day. It was 83 when I arrived and 58 when I left. Long range forcasts not very accurate.

My last January trip was kind of the same. One minute we were in sweatshirts and the next we were in shorts. I guess that is the price you pay for short lines and low crowds!:p

It was the same when I went in December...one day, it was REALLY cold! (I think a cold front was going through at the time) and for the most part, it was in the 70's.....SOOOO PLEASANT.....
