2 days for parks-which 2 to see

I am picking your wonderful Disney brains again for help...

Going on a sort trip - only have slated 2 days for parks...taking son age 2 definitely visiting MK but what other park. I am leaning toward AK - but have read some good things about MGM & Epcot.

Personally, I disliked MGM first time we went (the year it first opened) and can't remember much about Epcot.

My son is very active, he loves attractions where he can run, slide, climb, etc...

Thanks:D

Hi ressieb!

Well it all depends on who you're going for. Do you want something to keep the very young ones interested? I don't have children, but I don't think Epcot would be your best choice for them. There isn't a lot geared towards young children, I don't think.

For that reason, I'd suggest AK because there's more to see fot them.

The Boneyard - which is like one ginanormous sand box,

Triceratop Spin - A cartoonish dinosaur knockoff of DUMBO

The Safari - If they like animals

The Jungle Trek - More animals including Tigers

The Pangani Trail - More animals including gorillas

Conservation Station - Petting farm, (mostly things like goats), and you get to ride a train to get there. They should like that!

Camp Minnie-Mickey - Geared towards young kids with lots of characters

The Lion King Show - Lots of fun for everyone!

Pocahontas Show - Perhaps not the most exciting for adults, but live animals running across the stage might intrigue the little ones

Tarzan Rocks - Lots of action on stage including rollerbladers that fly through part of the audience and an appearance by Terk, the gorilla, from the movie. Also Tarzan and Jane.

I remember reading somewhere that your little ones are 2 and 3. I would stay clear of It's Tough to Be a Bug. Perhaps you could do a parent switch off cause it's a must see 3-D movie. I think it would scare the young ones, though. Yes, I think that's definately the park to do with the little ones.

Hope that was helpful for you!

Best of luck in planning!
Wendy

I always tell people to go to MGM because it's my favorite, but I have to go with the other two opinions. AK will be more entertaining for a 2 year old than MGM.

Thanks you guys:D

I am so excited our trip is less than 3 weeks away...all my son keeps talking about is meeting Mickey.

I will stick with the MK & AK. For our longer trip next year I will make sure to include ALL the parks.

I don't know if you have Park Hopper passes or not but remember that AK closes at 5:00 so you might be able to hit another that evening.

Good for you...I agree with what everyone else said. I have a 2 year old myself (and he is VERY, VERY active!!!! :dazed ) and of course, the MK is a MUST DO for us...and he just LOVED the animals at AK...he did sit through ITTBAB, but he wouldn't wear the 3D glasses though....

HAVE FUN!!!!! :)

Great park for him but keep in mind.
Primeval Whirl like a kids ride from a distance but you nee to be 48" tall. But it's a neat coaster.
Dinosaur and Tough to Be a Bug scared the 4 year old that we went with;)
