opinions on early entry

Hi
First of all, I am sorry if this has already been discussed. I tried to do a search "early entry" to see if I could find a thread on this subject however, I could not find one.
My question is: what is your opinion on early entry? Some people do it and others go elsewhere thinking that maybe another park will be less crowded because most will do the early entry. Any pros and cons re: this is greatly appreciated.
We have tended to stay away from the early entries except for the AK. We go to the AK early to see the safari ride first because the animals seem to be out early in the morning. Other than that, we do not do early entry.
I look forward to hearing about your experiences with this!
Thanks!

We do early entry as often as possible. We take an afternoon break every day so after our break we ususlly go to a different park. We go in July and I can't say I notice a huge difference in crowd levels due to EE, it is just crowded in July.

I say try EE and do as much as possible and if it gets too crowded for you hop to another park. We can get a lot done in the first few hours and then grab lunch and take a break back at our resort.

Yeah, I know that for our trip I think we r doing early entry one day. Unofficial guide said that in off season to go for the EE but that during busy times stay away from it.

I agree with Disney Teacher. Utilize the EE to do the attractions that are usually long waits and then take a break and hop to another park. You will get to see MUCH more this way with less line waiting.

Early Entry

Have you ever been at the parks on Easter? I was at WDW last spring break but our break is very last compared to most. This year, our spring break is the week of April 6. Next year which is when we are going to WDW, our break is the week of March 28, which is a week earlier and, we will be there on Easter day. Does anyone know how crowded Easter day tends to be? I know Christmas is holiday season and is the most crowded. My friend was there this past Christmas. She went into the MK on Christmas Day which was the early entry day and she said the park closed a little after 11 am due to being filled to capacity! I wonder if that has ever happened on Easter?

The few times I have actually stayed on site I've rarely used early entry because I don't need to see as many attractions as I can at one time, since I go quite often on day trips.

I have imposters of children who are in reality fish, so we like to do the EE, get a ton done, then head back to the hotel to swim and nap, before heading back out. I am amazed at the amount of things we get done in the morning, up until about noonish.

If you use EE, make a PS for lunchtime then you can be eating lunch when the crowds get bad. Do something else in the afternoon and it works out perfectly!

This is what I say as well.

However, I do not tailor my vacation around Early Entry unless it works out with everything else and I am able to switch it around.

I rarely try to work in an EPCOT or Animal Kingdom Early Entry. To us, there just isn't as great an advantage as you get at MGM or especially Magic Kingdom.

We like to do EE at the MK, hit all the favotites have an early lunch and head out of the park as the crowds get HUGE.
This works really well for us.

We do EE every chance we get. IMO it is one of the best perks for staying on WDW property.

I have only stayed onsite twice, and both times I never utilized Early Entry priveleges at the parks. I just went with the flow...I do admit that "going with the flow" works out better in the off season, though! :dazed

I agree with the majority here. Go early to take advantage of the small lines and then leave for another park. My experience has always been that it gets very busy on the day of EE.
