Is this true?
I heard from a friend that disney wont put nicknames ect on like the mickey ears hats, is that true? Cuze i wanted to get a mickey ears hat for a little friend who goes by a nickname and i go by a nickname to so that would really make that difficult, why wont they do that if it is really true? :P

When I was in Disney in March, I had ears made for my parents. I had "Mem" and "Pep" put on them as thats what all the grandkids call them. I didn't have any problems. Also my daughters name is Alexandra, we call her Allie, she had that put on hers. We went first thing in the morning when the park first opened.. no line :) and then had them shipped to resort. Maybe I just had a really nice CM.

On the Golden Ears we just got (at DL), the CM didn't ask twice when my son requested "Zach" instead of Zachary. But the lady in front of us wanted "Captain whateverhersonsnamewas" on his Captain Hook hat and the CM said no. I thought that was kind of odd.

Oh wow! I love them!!! Thanks so much for the pic. I just moved about an hour away from WDW and am seriously in need of a disney fix. We just went in March when we still lived in MASS, but are hoping to go soon. I think I may die if I don't go. Not sure if DC is helping or making me want it more lol.

DH did some hatwriting while working at DL. He said the specific guidelines for names on hats were that they had to be a "real" name...first name only...the only types of "nicknames" allowed were things like Dad, Mom, Grandma, etc. And no character names.
