We are planning on buying 5 day park hopper plus tickets for our trip because we are going to NASA and Universal too while we are there for 9 days/8 nights.

If we decide to try to sqeeze out a day at Universal after visiting the other parks and want to add a day at WDW can we just do that at the windows or do we have to buy a single day pass to a single park.

I guess what I really want to know is can you upgrade a Park Hopper Plus Pass ticket while you are still there visiting? Add a day?

As long as you still have at least a day left on your passes, or are on your last day of the pass, you can upgrade your ticket to the 6day Hopper Plus ticket. They will credit what you paid for your 5 day PHP ticket towards the purchase of the 6 day PHP.

Of course, this negates any savings you had from purchasing your tickets ahead of time or at a AAA office. You will be paying the gate price for a 6day PHP and only getting credited what you paid in advance for the 5day PHP.

JMO, If it were me and I thought for one second that I was going to possibley get to spend and extra day there... I would buy the Six day PHP because you can always use them later they never expire...:whistle: :dazed :whistle:

It's good to know we can add on so long as we decide by the last day on the ticket. It's all depending on how good Universal is, if we want to spend the 2nd day there or decide it was a bust and go another day at WDW.

The tickets usually have the cost on the back of them. The cost is also encoded on the ticket.

:) As long as it has not been more than 7days since you first used your tickets, we can add additional days to your tickets. If you purchased them from the Disney Store, AAA, the Disney Website or over the phone you will NOT lose any discount your received as we will write it off and only charge you the difference less your discount. If you buy them via a travel agent or in a voucher form we cannot give you the continued discount as we have no way of knowing what they sold them to you for. They buy in bulk from Disney as an official reseller and can charge whatever as long as the price is not more than the gate prices.

A 5 day Park Hopper Plus ticket costs $263.07 at the Disney Store.
A 5 day Park Hopper Plus ticket costs $286.50 at WDW.
A 6 day Park Hopper Plus ticket costs $295.02 at the Disney Store.
A 6 day Park Hopper Plus ticket costs $318.45 at WDW; .

When the guest who purchased the 5 day PHP in advance upgrades that ticket to a 6 day PHP at WDW, how much do they pay for the upgrade?

:) take the difference between the two prices sold at the WDW and that is what you would pay. We first do an upgrade of the discounted ticket to our price and write that off, then upgrade to the higher ticket. In that way you don't lose your discount. However I believe you get a larger discount if you make your initial purchase online. I know that the 4day park hopper is $204 and some change online, but it is $221.52 (tax included) at WDW. If you bought this and wanted to upgrade to the 5day park hopper plus we would first upgrade your ticket to our price, writing off the difference and then upgrade that ticket to the new price.
