Coming attractions

I am starting to plan our next WDW trip and was wondering if anyone knows the tentative dates for some of the coming attractions? I know that there is a new rollar coaster type ride for the AK, but I can't remember what the other attractions are coming.

The roller coaster at AK is there! Triceratop Spin. In Spring of 2005 is when Flying Over Epcot opens. Also, Stich's Great Escape is opening this Fall??? Don't quote me on the Fall part. Also, Mickey's Philharmagic is open at MK. Do that EARLY!! We made the mistake of saving Fantasyland for last, and while the rest of the park was wonderful, just about all of the rides there were 45 minute waits or more! Also Mission: Space is now open and that is extremely easy to do in the morning.

I think you are probably thinking about Mt. Everest at AK. I don't think it is going to open this year at all. Stitch is not scheduled to open until later this year.

Wasn't MT EVerest scheduled for sometime in 2005? LAter in the year I thought, but I can be wrong.:)

Here is the list of new or coming attractions, where they are located, and when they are supposed to open:

Mission: Space- Epcot Fall 2003
Mickey's Philharmagic- Magic Kingdom Fall 2003
Stitch's Great Escape- Magic Kingdom Fall 2004
Soarin' over California- Epcot Spring 2005
Mouters! Action Stunt Show- MGM-Studios Spring 2005
Expedition Everest- Animal Kingdom 2006

I wouldn't count on the Mouters! Action Stunt Show or Soarin' over California to open until march at the earliest. I would think that April is more likely for these to open. I have no clue when Everest is supposed to open. Hope that helps:)

We saw all the construction going on at the parks, but had only heard about Everest. Where did everyone hear about the other new attractions? Are there any details available?

I can't speak for the others, but I am signed up to several WDW newsletters that keep me up to date on what is going on at WDW. One is through www.allearsnet.com and another is at www.mousesavers.com. Both are full of planning info and are very helpful. (DC is still my favorite disney website though!!)

Thank you to everyone for all your input. I just received the Disney Insider regarding Mt. Everest at the AK and can't wait to ride it. The only thing now is .... I don't want to wait that long!

Yeah, I got the same thing saying that it was going to be a Roller Coaster and that it would be opening in the Asia area of AK in 2006.

It sounds like Disney is hoping for Expedition Everest to be ready for opening April 22, 2006. It would be the anniversary of when AK officially opened to guests 8 years ago.

yeah the only "roller coaster" at animal kingdom is the Primevil Whirl. Triceratops spin is the circle spinning thing where you just go round and round.
