MGM Studios? Animal Kingdom? or Epcot?

We are planning a trip from May 9-13th. Since, we will be losing two of those days for travel, we figured we would only find the time to see two parks (we are buying single day tickets, not hopper passes). We have already chose the MK for the 1st park, which one would you recommend for the 2nd?

I am traveling with my husband, our 7 year old son and 10 month old baby and my mom. Baby will go to MK and not the second park. It will just be me, my DH and son.

What do you think?

Depends on their preferences. AK is for the nature and animal lover. MGM is for the movies and has some cool rides if your 7 year old likes thrill rides. EPCOT is actually one my 7 and 10 year olds say they liked because of the kid cot visit to each country and the thrill rides and the games at Communicore.

I will give my vote for MGM. It's my favorite next to MK. There is something for everyone to enjoy at that park. I think your 7 year old will enjoy the shows: Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones Stunt show, Tower of Terror (if he like a bit of a thrill), RnR me and my DD's ultimate fav. Epcot isn't a bad choice either. I always thoguht it was gong to be over my DD's head untill my last trip. There is plenty of fun to be had there for kids of any age. The Kid Cot stops in the countries are VERy fun for the kids.

I'd choose EPCOT hands down, just for the sheer variety of things to do there. We can do AK, or the Studios in half a day. I don't believe we've ever "completed" EPCOT in a single day.

EPCOT or MGM. You can't go wrong with either choice. I'd probably opt for MGM and would make sure I saw Fanatasmic. Good luck deciding--it's not an easy choice.

I'm with everyone else...Epcot or MGM. You can't go wrong with either one. I think there is more to do now at Epcot, especially with M:S and TT opened up. But you and your family will enjoy either one.

I vote for MGM. We love RnR & ToT, Great Movie Ride, Muppets, Backlot Tour, etc. And then definitely make a day of it by staying for Fantasmic. It's a great show! I have the CD & everytime I hear it I want to be there watching it!

I would go to MGM-Studios. They have it all; thrill rides, behind-the-scenes, shows, and dark rides. If your seven-year old likes thrill rides, ToT, Star Tours, and RNRC are musts. If you like broadway-stlye shows, then you have to hit Beauty and the Beast or Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I love Muppetvision 3D and the Great Movie Ride. If you guys like Indiana Jones, the hit the Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular. And to close out the day, you have to do Fantasmic!

But, Epcot is great, and Illuminations is worth the admission alone;)

This one is really tough, because both parks are great. It's hard to judge because I don't know your family's tastes. Have you thought about doing 2 parks in one day? If you sat down and studied both MGM and Epcot, pick the attractions you would most like to see, and then you can have the best of both worlds. You could start the day at MGM, hit RnRC, ToT, Beauty stage show, and maybe Muppets, then head over to Epcot and hit the big things there. Ending the day with Reflectios of Earth is a must in my opinion. :)

Studio's

I would have to go to the Studio's for the second day if the 7 year old enjoys rides.

I think you'd get more out of Epcot or the Studios with a full day. AK is great, but I can never spend a full day there. Since your son is 7, in my opinion (it's only an opinion!) the Studios is a good choice. Epcot might seem a little boring to him after the MK. That's just my 2-cents worth.

I agree, AK is not a full day, and EPCOT might be better for when the 7 year old is older. MGM would be my recommendation.

What Park!!!

:) :D What second park to chose??? What to do!!!???:) I work at MGM, but I would chose Epcot. It's my favorite park and has something for everyone. It's an all day park, meaning you need to get there when it opens and close it down at night with Illuminations. It's exciting, has shows, has rides, has MAGIC!, in other words, it has it all. Enjoy!
