Question!

This may seem silly, but...

Anyone who has been down there recently: did you, as a non-CM guest have to get your fingers scanned? I know I did as a CP but I forget if they made EVERYONE do it.:dazed

I'm asking because we are giving my friend one of our tix and i don't want the gate to get all nazi on her and make her buy her own? My mom is almost positive they never scanned her but....

I'm so paranoid.... :laugh Maybe I should be, since the WDCo has my fingerprints on file...:nervous

as of last Sept. when i was there, we didn't have our fingers scanned. We had UPH tix as part of our package, occasionally they asked for ID (although, that may have just been at PI-I don't remember). But, I don't recall seeing anyone using the finger scan thing.

If you are talking about entry to a park, I believe only annual pass holders and Florida seasonal pass holders have their fingers scanned. But I have not been there since Nov. :D :) Joe

I had my fingers scanned, but I was lucky enough to be eligible for the free military pass, so maybe that's why they scanned me. The tickets we bought for the rest of the family didn't require finger scanning.

We usually have APs so we always have to do the finger thing. I'm not sure if you have to do it for Hoppers or not.

same here, before we got the AP's our room keys were our park tickets and we didnt need the finger scan.

Most of the time while we were there last week they let DH through without the fingerscan.. mainly because it failed almost every time ( I think because of his being in the w/c it was harder for him to get his fingers in there just right) ..but at MGM the CM insisted on seeing his drivers license.. thank goodness I put it in with his park pass. it was funny ..but not funny because she sure looked at it a long long time ..as if she was convinced either the AP was a fake or his drivers license was.

We were there last week, and all had 7 day hopper plus passes. We did not have to scan our fingers at all, and were never asked for id. In fact, we used one of our passes for my niece one afternoon. Her pass was not a hopper, and we went over to EPCOT in the afternoon with no problems at all.

Yep, no scan for reg tickets. With my AP I had to scan. When we went to MK I got in a line with no scan and the man just let me in with no ID check. I thought that was strange.

If you have used part of the tickets and HAVE had your fingers scanned for these tickets, DO NOT GIVE THEM TO YOUR FRIEND!! I had my fingers scanned for the Play 4 Day FL resident pass. I called it my daily check to make sure your are still you. It kind of makes you feel special because everyone just kind of sits there and watches.

Awwwww no! You've gotta be kidding me!! Aw man....

My friend can't exactly afford Disney (well, who can knowadays?) Should I call WDW and ask? This is not good...

I checked the tix just now though...this is kind of complicated to explain. When my folks came to visit me last spring, they found about 11 days worth of tix we had bought back in 93!! The tix gate redeemed them and turned them into park hoppers (and told us the remaining days for each, which my mom wrote down on each) without any extra cost or hassle. Would now be the time to ask my mom which ticket she used? Hopefully she'd remember...:laugh

Geez, I hope this works out...

Park hopper ticket holders do not undergo a finger scan. DW and I are annual passholders, and we took out-of-town friends to Epcot just the other day. They had partially used hoppers that a friend had given them, and they went through the ticket turnstile without any problems -- no finger scan. DW and I, of course, had our fingers scanned because of the APs.

If you're unsure how many days are left on your hoppers, you'll have to go to guest relations to find out. They'll scan your tickets and tell you what's left on them.

That's exactly right. This last trip we went on, my parents had old Park Hopper passes from several past trips. They took them to Guest Relations and found out how many days were left on each. When they used them, I don't think they had to get scanned.

Whew, thank goodness. Somehow waiting in line to pay 54 dollars for two tickets each (or forfeiting one day of disney!) doesn't seem very magical to me.

Thanks for all your help guys! "Our hope is restored!" ;)
