Crowds (and tourism) finally on the rise

Although Disney World doesn't disclose attendance figures, Disney said recently that traffic at all its U.S. Parks was up about 14 percent this quarter compared to last year. Hotel reservations for March were up about 20 percent from the same period last year. Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando have reported similar gains. Airport traffic is up as well. Orlando airport officials reported a nearly 7 percent increase in domestic traffic and a 5 percent rise in overseas traffic.

DW and I took friends to Epcot on Wednesday and can certainly believe those figures. Epcot was more crowded than I've ever seen it during spring break.

Park Hopper, you should have gone to Epcot on Tuesday. It was empty! Of course, that's the day it rained all day. :D

Wait times for the major attractions in all 4 parks have been long all week. Sometimes even over an hour!

Glad to see WDW getting back on track. Maybe now some of the cut-backs will stop.

You can pretty much count on the Magic Kingdom being the most-crowded park on any given day.
