ToT Comparison

ok - I have to admit, I have been to WDW 2 times and have not rode ToT yet. I am afraid of it!

Has anyone ever been to Six Flags over Georgia and rode the Freefall? I hate that ride! Does the ToT the same feeling or is it not as intense? I keep avoiding the ToT because of the Six Flags Freefall ride.

If anyone has ever rode both, please compare for me. I really want to ride the ToT.

I have not been to Six Flags Over Georgia but I have ridden the Stuntman's Freefall at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ...I would imagine they ar similar. The one in NJ has you sit in a metal car kind of thing, four people per car and then you shoot up the shaft, move out and then just drop to the ground and end up on your back...is that the same kind of ride? I really didn;t like that ride either, it was pretty jarring and almost hurts when you end up lying on your back.

Having said that I LOVE Tower of Terror. It is my all time favorite Disney ride. There is still that drop and while it is startling it is not jarring and not at all like the Stuntman freefall ride. At least I don't think so. The Tower of Terror is great with its effects and atmosphere. I would give it a shot!

The one in Texas sounds the same as the one in Ga. I will make myself try the ToT in May.

The Freefall just plain hurts.

You have to give ToT a try, at least once. I don't understand how anyone can hate it without even trying it. ToT is so awesome, you have no idea what you are missing. If it turns out you don't like the drops, they only last a couple seconds anyway. At least you will get to see it all one time. Chances are, you will love it though, so GIVE IT A TRY. :)

The ride I hate - Freefall - I rode 1 time and that did it for me.

But you did it, and that's what is important. If you do it and find you don't like it, I can respect that. But never riding it at all, that is just being a wuss. Now, it's totally different if you're one of those people who have a medical condition that keeps them from riding, then that I understand. Being a wuss is not an excuse. :laugh I'm sure you will love it.

Easy, I decide I do not want to do something and there is nothing anybody can do to make me. Wuss - stubborn - hard headed - It's all the same thing!! It's a girls prerogative!

Ride ToT. It is not like Free Fall because you won't fall as far. Not to mention you just have to see the Hollywood Hotel! It is amazing! ToT has this whole Twilight Theme and you really get into it. Then they drop you but only a few floors then you go back up and do it again. There are many drop sequences so you will never have the same ride twice. Unless that is all you do all day! It isn't bad at all, my DM loves it and she doesn't go on rollercoasters at all! YOU CAN DO IT!

Wow, stubborn, hard-headed...those are some great qualities you got there...:laugh :laugh :laugh

I really don't think you will have the problem of getting sick all day. I think ToT is really pretty tame, compared to some other rides I've been on at other parks. Once is all it will take. You'll love it. :)

Its not like freefall at all. It gives you a totally surprised type of feeling instead of a sick to your stomach 1. I def recommend tryin it
