Haircuts

This is the most I've been on Disney Central since I joined. I have so little time to be on the computer that I try to do everything I can when I am on!
Anyway, this site is so great!!!!!!!!!! Whenever I have any ?'s I know someone here will have an answer for me. So this is what I'm wondering.
My daughter (20) asked if we could get haircuts at WDW while we are there in May instead of getting it done here before we go. I told her I have no idea where to get it done, & I thought it might be fairly expensive at WDW. Does anyone have any info in reference to this?
Thanks again to everyone for all the great information that's available to us here. It is always a BIG help when we plan things for our trips.

We had my sons (7) hair cut at the Barber Shop on Main Street in the MK in March 2003. It is on the left just after you enter the park. Just look for the barber pole. From what I rememeber it was not very expensive - less than $20. It was so fun. They posed for pictures with the giant sissors and mickey drape and sprinkled pixie dust on his hair.

From what I hear it is ususlly very busy. We got there late in the afternoon and were the last customer. We had to wait about 45 minutes - there were 2 or 3 ahead of us then. Luckily, we were waiting for someone at the gate so we would have been hanging around there anyway.

It was fun.

The lady barber cut my DS's hair last year, and it was $12. She asked him what color he wanted. Since his school color is orange, he said orange. She cut and spiked his hair, then mixed up some orange color. She put it all over the top of his spikes and even used it to paint a mickey on the back of his head! Then she coated him with pixie dust! She asked my other DS if he wanted some color and pixie dust too, but since he always wears his baseball cap everywhere he said no thanks. DS got so much attention because of his hair everywhere he went that day! It was really awesome! We were at the barber shop when it opened and still had to wait quite a while for our turn. It was certainly worth the wait! BIG FUN!!!

Can you make an appointment for the barber shop in MK?

DS has never had a barber shop haircut. I've always cut his hair. Thank goodness he likes an easy BUZZ cut. But I'm thinking this would be a cool thing for him. Especially the coloring and getting extra attention. He's a HAM!!

Any other information on this would be great. Prices? Appointments?
