EPCOT garden show?

Have any of you been to the EPCOT Garden Show? It's coming up and we (husband and I) would like to go. It would be our 1st night away from our daugther (would make it a romantic day or two)!

Any thoughts?

Also - where should we stay for a romantic one night splurge?

Flower and Garden show is aboslutely great. Going again in May!!!!! Infact, if you do attend make sure you check out the entertainment at the American Gardens Theatre. Performing are the artists from the 60's and 70's. Great shows!!!
Infact, we will see The Turtles, The Animals, and Paul Revere & The Raiders. Saw the Turtles, & Paul Revere last May. Looking forward to seeing them again!!! :) JOANN

As far as where to stay is all about preference. DH and I love the AKL & CSR. Of course, there are so many to choose from, and what you want to spend??? So, Good Luck!!

Joann, I'm hoping to catch Davy Jones when I'm there in April! Daydream believin' I'll even get a chance, but who knows?;)

I've been to EPCOT during the Flower festival (I didn't realize it was only an annual event until last year - I thought the flowers were always part of it, since I always visited in May). It's delightful to see your favorite characters carved out of shrubs and trees from all over the world. Last year, the characters were in front of the lands they represented (Pooh in England, Beauty and the Beast in France, etc...).

Here are a couple of my favorite shots, starting with Pooh from last year's show

And here's Bambi and Friends...
Including, well...Flower!
Pretty much all of the Disney characters are represented. And of course, there is a separate section about Flowers from around the world...

Enjoy...

geeman, great pics. I love the one of the butterfly with SE in the background. Very good pic.

MommyMoses, Epcot is beautiful during the Flower & Garden Festival. I'm not much of a flower guy, but even I can't deny the beauty of the place during this festival. If you've never been to WDW during one of their festivals, it's cool to see the way Disney goes all out. They spare no expense. I think you will enjoy it.

I want to go so bad, BUT my new DVC doesn't allow me to book rooms until July! So I am planning on a trip for next year. I know you will have a wonderful time.
If you stay at Beach/Yacht Club or Boardwalk you can walk through the international gateway to get to EPCOT.

The Flower and Garden Festival is terrific. The displays are absolutely gorgeous. Living as close as we do, we make it a point to see each and every one of the Flower Power concerts, too.

As for a romantic spot to dine, if you're talking about Epcot and like French cuisine, try the Bistro de Paris. It's a small restaurant located upstairs, above the more popular Chefs de France. The food is fabulous and the service is tremendous.

If you're looking for the ultimate romantic blowout, Victoria & Albert's in the Grand Floridian resort is unbeatable. It's expensive, but unbeatable.

Enjoy!!

We've been to the flower and garden festival 3 times. It is gorgeous. I can just smell the roses right now that they have on a small pathway between WS and FW. Roses from around the world. They smell wonderful!

Also, even though your DD won't be going with you, be sure to check out the "dog gone maze" it is SO cute! There are topiaries (huge one!) of famous Disney dogs!!
