Park ticket prices increase??

I was checking with an online ticket site today and was told Disney is raising park admission prices as of Sunday! Has anyone heard this? Is this true? I am trying to find the best price for tickets for our May 18-25 visit and would like to hear from anyone who has heard this? Or is the website I contacted pulling my leg??

The prices do go up every year. I don't know if that is the exact date for it, but I know it's coming. I bought my AP now for next January just to save the $$ on the price increase. Call your local Disney store and ask them tomorrow. They should know because they sell them. If you don't have one near you, I'd be happy to call mine for you and find out. Just let me know.

I just bought 2 AP's at the Disney store tonight. The CM told me it was a good thing I bought them today because ticket prices were going up on Sunday

Does anyone recall how much they went up last year? I think I will be going to the Disney Store tomorrow to purchase mine!

Would it matter if you bought them online or over the phone via WDW reservations? Would that help?
My trip is in just over 2 weeks. I was waiting for the new month (& billing cycle) to kick in, but I'll place that call or run to the store tomorrow to get my AP if there's no other way.
If I order through WDW reservations - will I get something in the mail, or will it be Will Call at this point?

Ticket prices going up again!?! I thought they already increased prices this year. I tell you as much as I love Disney (16 trips and counting since 1977) these ticket prices are getting out of hand.

As a FL Resident I have it easy, the seasonal pass is a real bargain at $189.00 and the block out dates are no big deal (I wouldn't go to WDW is the sumer or for spring break anyway), but the regular tickets prices are really getting to a point where some people just can't afford to make the trip.

Is it just me?

They are not increasing prices on all tickets, just the one day-one park and annual passes as far as I have heard.

edited to add:
According to the Orlando Sentinel:

On Sunday, the price of a one-day, one-park adult admission will increase $2.75 to $54.75, before tax.

One-day, one-park tickets for children ages 3-9 will increase $1.75 to $43.75. Four- and five-day "Park Hopper" passes for both adults and children will also go up -- four-day adults from $208 to $219, four-day kids from $167 to $176, five-day adults from $269 to $282, and five-day kids from $216 to $226.

Annual passes for Florida residents will not change, remaining at $299 for adults, $254 for kids ages 3-9.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No price increase was given for regular annual passes, though some people have reported being told by their Disney Stores that there will be a price increase on these too.

I can't see it mattering where you purchase them. With only 2 weeks before your trip, I personally would go to the store and get them. I'd be terrified they'd get lost in the mail, but that's just me and my worrying for you.

AMEN! Thank goodness for my "manager's bonus" or there wouldn't be a WDW this year.

:D Thanks for the advice and suggestions. We actually headed out extra early today to the mall with the express purpose of buying the passes.

Did it. Got mine. Dgf got her 4 day park hopper while we were at it for her next trip.
Now I have to let the other members of my travel party know they can save 20 bucks if they get theirs today.

:-)
