YAY! They have extended the flower and garden festival till June 6!! That means we will get there in time to see the topiaries!! I LOVE those!
How soon after the festival do they take out all the extra plantings?
We will be there in time for the "Festival Farewell Weekend". Does anyone know what sorts of things they will have planned for that weekend?

I just noticed that June 6 is Gay Days in Epcot - how badly will that affect the crowds there?

I'm not real certain on that. I have never been there then. I know it is a popular event, but I'm certain it will be workable if you have a good touring plan. Just be sure to make PS for places to eat and try to get those crowd drawing attractions in as soon as the park opens and you should be just fine.:)

Can you go to EPCoT the day before???

I'm not sure how much gay day will effect the crowds, but they are estimating approx 100,000 additional people in town over those days and even if 1/4 or 1/2 went to EPCoT that day...along with your tradional daily crowds, I would assume it would be packed.

When we went in June 2002, we went the week of gay day (our last day was on the Thursday before) and the crowds for us were not bad. We avoided the park that they had planned for that day and we were not there on the big day in the MK, which is the first Saturday in June.

If you can tweek your schedule..I would recommend it!

Unfortunately, we fly in the day before and we don't get in until LATE that night. I'm thinking I will just pop over to Epcot just to look at the flowers - avoid the rides and just wander around (I like to do that anyway) Do a PS for lunch somewhere and just generally goof off that day. Maybe I can send everyone else to Universal Studios LOL:whistle:

we have been during Gay Days and never noticed it being any more crowded then any other time. Also I know some have made remarks about things they have seen..but we have never seen anything upsetting ..
if June 6 is gay day ..the offical Florida Gay day, the crowded park will be MK.
As far as events .. The Lovin' Spoonful, I think are playing June 6th.
