Hey, It worked, but you had to make it kinda small to get it to appear, huh. I just that for you because you lose some of the detail.

IN looking at another thread, how about an all new attraction???
a finding nemo inspired ride?? This of course was inspired by the 20K leagues thread. Everything else seems to be in order, I just had to make sure that TL was all in shape, since thats the land I worked. I would like to see the skyway put back in too if you could, please?? Also in Fantasy land maybe a disney princesses ride?? Just a thought, since DIsney has started the disney princess line, or maybe a show?? THeres an idea! Also a DIsney hero's show! Oh as for location, I was thinking, theres DL on the west, WDW on the east, you need it in the middle. Not Texas Tinkerbell, yall already have at least 3 six flags and a seaworld, and I don't know what else. I plan on visitin Tx but not for Disney, I think then Tx would be overkill....oh yeah and Schilitterbahn, thats where I wanna go! We need a place in MIddle America, something that has the land for cheap, where you can take that open farmland and build it up. Wyoming? Oklahoma? I don't know my geography as well as I thought I did...

There has been rumors for nearly 30 years (maybe more--but I'm only 33, and have been hearing about it all my life) that Disney was looking at Oklahoma to build another DL/WDW park. All the rumors I've been hearing for forever are that it would be located on HWY 75 between Tulsa and Bartlesville (I know, most people probably haven't heard of B'ville, so in case you're interested, it's where Phillips 66 is headquartered--until the Conoco-Phillips merger that is!). There's plenty of land available, it's all open ranchland, and it's only boiling hot between June and September--it's not unusual to have temps reach above 100° for weeks on end. The only time they would have any problems is during tornado season (spring) and if we get a really, really bad ice storm during the winter months.
Having one here in Oklahoma would definitely help our economy out tremendously, and I, for one, would be first in line for a season family pass every season. If you went further north (Kansas on up), winters get way too bad for it to be feasable to have a Disney theme park. I do think your plan would fit in perfectly well here, too!

One thing you have to watch out for in the midwest and Oklahoma is tornados. They would kill that beautiful park in a second. No amusement park could withstand the weather turmoil on tornado alley. I don't know if that's the area you are talking about. I just thought that it needed to be mentioned, especially since this is that particular time of year.

So when does it open and can I get on the Club 33 list now?
I think we have a lot in common as far as the type of rides we both like, the whole Earth attraction sounds very interesting. So how about throwing Adventure Thru Inner Space in as a personal favor? Seriously though very cool.

Disney Studios: Rides and Attractions
I have here my list of rides and attractions for Disney Studios as of opening day. Disney Studios will consist of six soundstages, a backlot (complete with Residential Street, similar to the now-defunct Disney-MGM attraction), an animation studio, as well as the Earfell Tower-- which will be an actual working water tower for the studio and park, unclike Disney-MGM's oversided prop! Disney Studios will open around the same time as the Magic Kingdom, or shortly afterward. Rides and attractions marked with a (FP) will use the FastPass Service:
1.) Cinemagic Special Effects Stage (FP): This is a live stage show focusing on special effects for TV and motion pictures; which also includes audience participation in a number of segments! 2.) Disney Sound Studio: At The Disney Sound Studio, guests add sound effects to various Disney cartoons! This is an almost completely hand-on attraction, unlike the Sounds Dangerous show with Drew Carey which currently runs at Disney-MGM. 3.) The Great Movie Ride: Although similar to the Great Movie Ride at Disney-MGM, this ride will have primarily different scenes from its Disney-MGM counterpart. Since I have never been to WDW (but I'm currently in the process of planning a trip!), and therefore, never rode GMR, I'll have to go by what I have seen listed in Birnbaum's Official Guide. So far, the only movie scenes I know of which would remain the same are the Singing In the Rain and Wizard of Oz scenes, since those were both landmark motion pictures, and that The Wizard of Oz is a favorite anomg children; whom Disney's theme parks are primarily geared to! Not sure about the others, however, I will also include Mary Poppins on my GMR, but usuing a different scene. WDW's GMR uses the Chim Chim Cher-ee scene, whereas mine will use the Supercalafragilisticexpialidocious song and dance segment from Mary Poppins. 4.) The Great Muppet Movie Ride: This is basically a spoof of the Great Movie Ride; where the Muppets give guests their takes on various classic motion pictures; such as Frankenstein, The Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan, just to name a few; along with an original entitled Pigs In Space: The Movie. Also, about halfway through the ride, we'll re-create the HILARIOUS scene from The Muppet Movie where the film jams and breaks halfway through the movie! In this scene, Kermit asks what happened, and The Swedish Chef (who is the projectionist) responds, with film wrapped all over him! Here is a sound byte of this scene: http://users.ev1.net/~russ3/WavFiles/chef.wav The Great Muppet Movie Ride was in fact planned for Disney-MGM, but was put off due to Jim Henson's death in 1990. 5.) Hyperion Theater: This is a large theater designed much like a movie palace-type cinema from the Golden Era of Hollywood. Hyperion Theater presents a multi-character show (using characters from various Disney cartoons together), similar (but not exactly!) to the show currently running on The Disney Cruise Line-- especially since I have heard a lot of good things about that show! 6.) Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular (FP): I know Disney-MGM has this, but I decided to include Indy since I think that this is one of their very best shows! 7.) Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3-D (FP) 8.) The Magic of Disney Animaton: This is an actual working animation studio, which produces and demonstrates for guests 3 different types of animation!: a.) Cel Animation b.) 3-D Computer Animation c.) Clay Animation In addition, The Magic of Disney Animation features an interactive area where guests can learn a few tricks of the trade! IIRC, the animation studio at Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris has an interactive area like this one. 9.) Monsters, Inc. dark ride 10.) Star Tours: (FP) 11.) Studio Tour: Behind the Scenes 12.) That's Entertainment! Hollywood Gallery: This is similar to The Disney Gallery in this theme park resort's Magic Kingdom and the Main Street Gallery and Town Square Exposition Hall in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom; but focuses on Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general. That's Entertainment! Hollywood Gallery includes various Hollywood-related exhibits, artifacts, and memorabilia. 13.) Tron: The Ride (FP): This ride is based on the 1982 motion picture Tron, which will be designed as a dark ride with a few interactive elements much like Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and the early 1980's Tron arcade game, which was also based on the movie. 14.) Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (FP) 15.) Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Play It! (FP) PARADE: Disney Studios will feature a Hollywood-themed parade similar to the Lights, Camera, Action! parade at Walt Disney Studios Paris. Like the WDS parade, this parade will use actual parade floats instead of the antique cars used in Disney-MGM's parade. One of the most memorable floats from the WDS Paris parade which will also be used here is a giant movie projector float with Tinker Bell sitting in front of the projector's lens! In addition, the parade at Disney Studios will include Hollywood-themed songs/show tunes such as Hooray For Hollywood, There's No Business Like Show Business, We're In the Money, You Ought to Be in Pictures, and That's Entertainment!, just to name a few! Last but certainly not least, Disney Studios runs the Sorcery In the Sky fireworks show every night. I also have here a list of possible lands/streets for Disney Studios: 1.) Animation Courtyard 2.) The Backlot 3.) Hollywood Boulevard 4.) Muppets Courtyard (which includes The Great Muppet Movie Ride and Muppet*Vision 3-D) 5.) New York Street 6.) Production Courtyard 7.) Sunset Boulevard If anyone has questions, comments, and/or suggestions, please feel free to post! :) Last edited by KentB3; 04-15-2004 at 09:35 PM. |

Hotels at my Disney theme park resort
This is my list of hotels which will be at my proposed Disney theme park as of opening day, which will consist of 4 hotels plus a campground. 3 hotels will run in the Deluxe to Moderate price range ($133+ per night), and the 4th is a Value-priced resort ($70-$124 per night) much like the 3 All Stars resorts and the new Pop Century resort at Walt Disney World. These hotels are listed in order from most expensive to least. Here is what I have so far:
Disneyland Hotel: This is the crown jewel of the hotels at my Disney theme park complex, with architecture very much like that of the Grand Floridian, but the hotel's layout will be more like that of the Grand Californian at Disneyland-- which has all rooms in one building. Also, this Disneyland Hotel has six floors as opposed to the Grand Floridian's five (I think). There are 600 rooms inside the Disneyland Hotel, which overlooks the Magic Kingdom theme park. Disney's Hollywood Hotel: This hotel overlooks the Disney Studios theme park, and has a Hollywood theme to it, with a slight Disney focus. The Hollywood Hotel is quite similar to the Hollywood Hotel, which will open next year at Hong Kong's Disneyland, but may have a few differences as well. There are 502 rooms inside Disney's Hollywood Hotel. Disney's Contemporary Resort: Overlooking the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary Resort is similar to its Walt Disney World counterpart, but also has a number of differences as well; such as different shops and restaurants. For example, Chef Mickey's is located in Downtown Disney insetad of here, as it replaced by the Contemporary Café. The Contemporary Café has a character breakfast each morning, with a menu similar to Donald's Breakfastosarus in WDW's Animal Kingdom, but stripped of its dinosaur/safari theming. Despite WDW having this, I chose the Contemporary since I always found it to be a facinating building to look at; especially with the monorail going right through the building! There are 393 rooms inside the Contemporary; which is the same number its WDW counterpart has inside the tower. All room will be inside the tower, as no annex wings have been planned yet! Disney's All-Stars Resort: Disney's All-Stars is similar to All-Star Movies at WDW, but focusing on the characters instead of their movies. This is our Value resort, with rooms spanning 320 square feet (a bit larger that WDW's All Stars & Pop Century rooms at 260 square feet). The All-Stars is broken up onto 8 buildings, with 96 rooms in each building (shaped like a straight rectangle as opposed to All Stars and Pop-Centur's T-shaped inns) on three floors, with 2 buildings per theme. Here is a list of the themes for All-Stars Inns: 1.) 101 Dalmations: even thought this is the film's title, the 1001 Dalmations are still the main characters! 2.) Buzz & Woody's: This is the Toy Story themed area, but the name was changed for reasons described above! 3.) House of Mouse: These inns feature the big 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, & Pluto), along with their frequent costars (Daisy, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, etc.). The House of Mouse features the Duck Pond Pool-- which includes a centerpiece of Donald and his duck costars shooting water pistols into the pool, much like the Calypso Pool centerpiece at WDW's All-Star Music! There is also a small, shallower kiddie pool next to the main one. The pool(s) sit in the middle of the cluster of motel buildings, with the main building (housing offices, restaurants, etc.) at one end) and room for expansion on the other end of the motel complex. 4.) Pooh Corner: which features Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, et. al.; plus 100-Acre Wood theming. Disney's All-Stars has a total of 768 rooms, with plenty of room for expansion, plus monorail access. The All-Stars Hall is the main building, which houses the offices, food court, snack bar, and lounge/bar. Disneyland Campground: Similar to Fort Wilderness at WDW, but built on a smaller scale, Disneyland Campground consists of 207 campsites, plus 108 cabins. This gives us a total of 315 "rooms"-- for lack of a better term! :D The 4 hotel complexes and the campground give us a Grand Total of 2,578 rooms; roughtly the same number of hotel rooms at Disneyland shared between its 3 hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, and Grand Californian), but only about 1/12 the 30,000+ rooms/suites/villas/cabins/campsites that Walt Disney World offers between its numerous reosrts! Nevertheless, I think what I came up with for a new Disney theme park resort is sufficient! If anyone has questions, comments, and/or suggestions, please feel free to post! ![]() Last edited by KentB3; 04-15-2004 at 09:36 PM. |

Wow, you have definitely put a lot of work into this! What fun, what fun!
OMG, I absolutely ADORE your idea for the Tron ride! Every time I watch that movie, I wish there was a ride dedicated to it. And as long as you have a Tower of Terror, I can give you my two big thumbs up! :D Mmm...really like the Monsters, Inc. ride too. Hey, there's lots of beautiful land up here in Oregon! O'course, there's plenty of rain, too...lol. :laugh Great work!
