Hi everyone, my family and I ( Hubby and 4 yo) are planning a trip to WDW Oct. 28-31. We are planning on going to MNSSHP on the 28th, after a day of lounging at the POLY. Then returning to MK on the 29th. MY first question is will that be enough time at MK or should we add another day. Next question is if it is enough time, which should we do on the 31st, MGM or EPCOT.
It's my sons first time and I have not been in 25 yrs. Thanks |

Re: How much time for MK?
Give it about 2 days to totally see "what you want" in MK. I say what you want cause in actuality if you want to see every part and do everything it takes more than 2 days to really get a good bit in. I know I worked there for 6 months and still haven't seen everything!
So basically one day is rushing it, but 2 days you get a great bit of it in. If you're going for 3 days I don't know what to say really. Epcot is great and I think by oct food and wine fest is going on. Then again Disney studios has rock n roller coaster and Tower of terror, which are some of the best rides wdw offers. It all comes down to how much time you want to spend and what you want to see.

Re: How much time for MK?
I don't think that EPCOT is gonna have a whole lot to interest your 4 year old. I would say 2 days in the MK at least and you can probably see everything you want to see in MGM and AK in a half day each, but remember at the time you go that all the parks close early. AK closes at 6pm and if I remember right MGM closes at 8pm. Unless the new Magic hours plan goes well and they decide to do it again in the fall. I know you only have four days, but don't plan your self to death and if your 4 year-old wants to spend some extra time at MK cause he likes it. Go for it. After all, it's all about the kids.
Your little one is going to be exhausted after MNSSHP. It is only 6 hrs. and you have to make the most of your time. There will be a lot of people there at the time you will be there for it. We will be there for it, too, but it will be earlier in the month when there aren't so many people. It is a blast, but tiring. It wore my 10 year-old DD out, so I can only imagine what it will do to a younger child. Collect all the candy you can, and get the free pictures, get autographs and pics with the dressed up characters that you want but don't try to do them all or you won't get to ride any rides because the lines for the characters are long and time consuming. MOst of all have a plan for this night, because you will need it, and make sure to get some of the special MNSSHP souvenirs. They are cool.

You need two days at Magic kingdom or a day and a half at least. There is SO many things to see and do. 4 years old! Great age to experience the magic! I like MGM...it's me and my DD's favorite park, so I vote for going there. Please let us know if you need any help with planning...we all love to help! You should get a few good guidebooks to get yourself reoriented with the parks and all they have to offer. A lot has changed in 25 years and it will benefitial to you all to do your homework. The key to having a relaxing and enjoyable WDW trip is research and planning. The Unofficial Guidebook to WDW and Passporter WDw are two EXCELLENT guidebooks. Check them out.

Re: How much time for MK?
I agree with Dana. You really need at least a day and a half at the MK to be able to enjoy it without being rushed off your feet. MGM would be my pick over Epcot. There is much more there to interest a four year old. Or, just to add confusion to the mix, the Animal Kingdom is a park that is easily done in one short day. Get a good guide book and read, read, read. The better prepared you are, the better time you will have, and don't be afraid to ask questions here. Someone will have the answer to literally anything you ask. Oh, and welcome!
