I saw on allearnet that you can rent a pontoon at YC/BC marina for the illuminations show. Is that different than the illuminations cruise I have read about here? If so where do I find info on that cruise?? How much are these cruises?

The pontoon is only $120 to rent for illuminations from YC do those boats go right over to EPCOT? Or is it a different body of water all together??

I am kinda confused on this point???

It is the same cruise as what others were talking about. IMO it isn't worth the money.

Ok if it isn't worth the money then where is the best place to see illuminations from at Epcot??

We did the IllumiNations cruise last July and LOVED it. In fact, we loved it so much we are doing it again this summer. For $120 we got a front row seat and no crowds to fight. It was sooo relaxing to be driven around before the show, our pilot was so nice, he filled us in on lots of facts on the way to Epcot. We had the entire boat to for just our family to enjoy.

I think if you are intrested you should try it, we thought it was great and well worth the money.

How funny you say that about the crowds and all. I just got off the phone with my DH and he thought it sounded great!! Last year our trip was a spur of the moment and so we had to skimp some but I thought our kids would love the boat and not having to fight the crowd sounds good to both of us!! How do I go about booking one of these??

Is it hard to get reservations for this?? Do I need to call early?? I know 90 days in advance but is it like CRT where people call first thing in the morning to get these cruises??

The cruises are harder to get than CRT. There are only 4 pontoon boats and 1 Breathless so getting one is tough. You will have to treat it like CRT--start calling 90 days out and start a few minutes before the phones open up. Last spring I got it the first day I tried, this summer was a little harder--it took a couple of days to get it---but we did!! Good luck!! If you get it makes for a very nice evening.

I just reread your posts--you said you had kids. Here is a tip if you get lucky enough to book a cruise: Last summer I brought lots of glow bracelets and necklaces for the cruise at a party store before we let home. My DS (5) loved them!! It gave him something new and unique to play with and they were pretty cheap. This summer we are going with 2 other families, including another 6 year old. I ordered my bracelets and necklaces this year--I got 50 bracelets in assorted colors for $9.00 plus shipping!! That is a great deal! We don't need 50 but they will keep a few months (up to 2 years I think). I figure I will take lots and let the kids go crazy.
