Do we have a chance??

My husband and I are going to Disney for a long weekend March 1-5 (ESPN weekend).We have no children, it will be just us. We visit WDW atleast yearly,lately twice a year, got married there, have hidden mickeys in lour home, and absolutely LOVE Disney and all the feelings that come along with it!! These little 'dreams' sound great...but I am concerned that it sounds like we are only eligible for the little surprises (lanyards/pins). Do you think the free vacations,being in the parades, etc. are ever awarded to people vacationing without children?? I'm feeling like we should pick up someones kid to take with us, maybe our odds would increase, or atleast put us in the running!!??

I think everyone has a chance to win something. It is suppose to be random. I have noticed however, that they usually pick families of four or more for things (parades etc)...it's usually just me and my DD so we are usually not picked. You should wear matching owfits etc. That always grabs CM's attention.

I think everyone has a chance but I see where you are coming from, I've wondered the same thing. We only have one child and I've wondered if bigger families have a better chance.

It just seems like that to me. Maybe I am just jealous cause I have never been picked for anything..lol

I noticed and I have a heard that a lot of the prizes i.e. Dream Fastpasses, Mickey Ears have been given out in big groups (Like coming off of Soarin once they gave the entire ride free passes before they let the new riders in.)

So yes, you have a chance. We didn't get a dream by the "dream team" per say but we were awarded front row seats at Beauty and the Beast and it was just Dave and I.

I've read that too. I have high hopes for our July trip..I want a night in the castle but I'll settle for a golden Fastpass.

I was kind of wondering the same thing...if being a couple instead of a family would decrease the chances of winning a "big" prize. That would stink!

Kim - if they do bring out free dining, and you do get that amazing airfare - you'll just have to take Alice on her first trip to WDW

Of course i don't know anymore than anyone else in the know but it would seem wrong to limit these "Dreams" to just families with kids. Kids couldn't even get to Disney without their parents, and i know Disney is for kids, but it's for kids of all ages.

When Sandy and I go in September we don't plan on doing anything different. We aren't going to act goofy or stand out in any way. We're just going to be ourselves. The dreams will come to us.

That is so funny- Im thinking of losing two of my kids because I doubt they will give something like a nice prize to a family of 6 over a family of 4.... LOL!

I figure we make our own dreams. I'm not really expecting that we are going to be given anything and I don't plan on letting it ruin our day if we don't. I just want to go and have fun.
