We almost had a dream. It was a few trips ago at the columbia harbor house we were having lunch when a CM sat down at our table. She started talking but didnt speak very good english. We heard her say year of a million dreams and we thought we had one. We didnt undwestand much of anything else. We all looked at each other and she walked away. I think that was one but we couldnt understand anything. Oh well!

According to the greeter CM at BC we won a dream upgrade from standard view to concierge with a lagoon view. While we didn't get a dream certificate, the greeter did say our upgrade was part of the YOAMD. So maybe it was more of a wish? But considering we only paid WL standard rates (plus $8 a night), I considered the upgrade a dream since it was a $300/night price difference (a $2400 savings).

I don't think I posted here after we got back from Disneyland this past June but we both won Dream Fastpasses for the first time! Which, in Disneyland, is AWESOME b/c their Dream FPs include BOTH parks! I was so excited.

We had passed a couple of rides at MK because DH can't stand to wait in any lines, even though they weren't that bad, especially for August. When we got to Splash Mountain, DH says "30 minutes, forget it." Now normally, I don't do Splash Mountain, but I got so mad at him, I sternly said we are doing it, let's go, and started walking towards the line. He and DS just stood there for a minute, shocked that I was going on the ride. The wait wasn't that bad, and then after the ride, I saw them!!! DH was in front of me, and a Dream Team person asked him to move over to the side as he turned the corner. I'm behind him flipping out cause I know what's going on, but there he is, questioning the CM as to why in the world would he have to move over to the side. We all got fastpasses for the MK. It was a wonderful day!

After that, we passed Dream Teams a number of times, and DH was "trained" now, pointing them out, asking if we should follow them. My response "No, we got our dream. Let someone else enjoy one also."

Last month we went on our first WDW trip. On the third day we went to AK. Our first ride was Kilimanjaro Safari. When we got off the ride several Dream Team members stopped our daughter. They told us my daughter was in the right seat at the right time. When they told us we had won an Ultimate Fan weekend trip, I thought it was a joke. We get to return to WDW on one of the ultimate fan trips in either Feb., May, Sept., or Nov. Now our big dilemma is picking the fourth person to come with us.

During our September trip, my DD6 was waiting in line to see the new blue power ranger and was chosen to be placed in the car with all of the rangers to have her picture made. Disney photographer on hand to place lots of pictures onto our photopass card. She is so proud and still talks about it.

Well. I FINALLY got a dream fast pass. Got us in the preshow room at Tower of Terror. Would have been nice to get it BEFORE the 30 minute standby line.

The cool thing was that we did Toy Story in EMH, got a FP then the dream FP. We did TS 3 times before 11AM!

I won a real dream! I got home today and there was a package at my door. I thought it was the nail trimmer I ordered from my cats but when I saw that Disney was the sender I knew it was something else! Well, I won the dream ears! I love the card they include....I got all teary eyed when it said to 'keep dreaming.'

Now, if only that darn nail trimmer would arrive for the cats!

Yesterday, ds and I decided to go to Disney Outlet. They have a little area in the store for kids to color pictures. DS was coloring with a CM and I was shopping. When I was done the CM told me how cute ds was and said here this is for him. It was a YOAMD Certificate and a WDW Pin. I couldn't believe it. I had no idea the CM's at the store were giving away dreams. It was just incredible and I still can't believe it happened. What a great way to start a Pre Trip!

After much strife and struggle.... Baloo and I finally got a Dream!!!
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the long-winded tale.....

We started off going the route of "the more enthusiastic we are, the better chance we have!!!" So we, along with our 2 other Disney-obsessed friends, did every trick in the book - matching T-shirts, overly-cheesy "yay we're best friends!" displays... we even got into a chat with one Dream Squad CM who we were CONVINCED was going to give us a major dream. It was December, and after chatting with her for a bit, she asked us to sing a Christmas Carol for her. We did, and the whole time we were like "OMG THIS IS IT!!!!!" ......... and then she gave us stickers. At any other time we would have loved stickers, but goshdarnit, we just SANG CHRISTMAS CAROLS to a DREAM SQUAD CM in the middle of FANTASYLAND!!! Doesn't that deserve a pair of dream ears or something??

So we totally gave up all our attempts at getting chosen. And then on our last group trip in October.... it happened. The other 3 went on Space Mountain for the first ride of the morning, and I, being a chicken, went through the line with them and then took the chicken exit to the benches at the unloading spot. What do I find there but Dream Squad CMs, checking their watches very intensely about every 15 seconds. I was getting all excited because I knew something major was going to happen... maybe someone would get the Cinderella Suite? Maybe if I sat there looking cute enough *I* would get the Cinderella Suite??

They kept up the watch-checking the whole time I was waiting... My friends pulled up in their rocket, with one family in another rocket in front of them. They all got out and started towards the exit, and then one of the Dream Squad CMs took one more watch peek and promptly shouted "STOP THEM!!!" towards the family ahead of my friends. The family was like "What did we do???" and me and my friends were like "ahhhh so close! " ..... But the Dream Squad-ers pulled out a big box of Dream Fastpasses, and everyone from that "STOP THEM" family on (including me and my friends!!) got Dream Fastpasses, I assume until the box was empty - we were all running and screaming and celebrating out the exit of Space Mountain, so I don't really know how many other Fastpasses they handed out.

So after all that, when we had finally decided it was never going to happen... WE GOT A DREAM!!!! woohoo!!!

This is the only picture I have of me with my Dream. (I have no pix of Baloo with his! ) Not the best picture - I was on the phone with my mom telling her the good news!

Au contraire... I think it IS the best picture! Your joy and happiness is uncontainable and shines through. Very cute. Congrats to you two.
