I'm almost positive that the Year of a Million Dreams lasts through December.

You can actually win at all four theme parks, Downtown Disney and both water parks!

Here's how it works: The prizes are completely random. The dreamsquad gets a note that tells them where to be and what time. They travel backstage to that location and then they find out what they are giving out and to who. For example it might say: "The next 100 people exiting Spaceship Earth receive Dream Mickey Ears. Or, The person sitting on this bench closest to this time wins a shopping spree!

Most prizes are given out earlier in the day, but don't forget about the magic and dreams other cast members will be making!! Good luck!

It was a "soft" rollout of Year of A Million Dreams last October. The main celebration didn't start until January. I'd heard all along this was going through December/

I'm sure you do get special attention -- getting the pins is a great idea. It probably won't give you much more luck in the BIG prizes that are totally random based on where you are at certain times, but you'll get other kinds of goodies, I'm sure.

I do have to say, however, that it seemed like EVERYONE we saw last week was wearing either a "My Birthday" or "My 1st Trip button"...they were EVERYWHERE...but I'm sure the CMs still acknowledge it.

Sandy ordered us two Passporter name badges for us to wear during our trip. She figures a little extra attention wouldn't hurt. Plus, it always helps people to "Chat up" if they know your name. She's always stopping to talk to kids and babies and tell the parents how cute they are. She's a nightmare when we go out for dinner. She always makes googly-eyes at babies in their highchairs to give the parents a break and some peace and quiet

Last time we went to PetSmart to take our dogs in for a grooming there was a dog adoption going on. She had to stop and pet every single dog on the sidewalk on the way in. (While i got dragged around the parking lot trying to contain both dogs).

We're celebrating DF's 60th, DGM's 75th, DN's 5th for Birthdays and DB and DSIL's 5th anniversary. We think it's a "dream" worthy trip... So glad to hear that the Year of a Million Dreams lasts through December!!
