Their computer decides & tells the dream team where to go. Example, it might say, go to space mountain & get the third person to exit off with a red shirt OR get the person sitting on the left side of the bench across from the gift shop at such & such. As stated above, the system is randomly specific. When we won our passes, I caught a glance at the guy's clipboard. It literally specified the time (0957) at the Magic Carpet Ride. I did not see a note listing the specific prize.

I think it has gotten to the point that people are stalking the dream team.

We've had other magical moments - and most of the time it comes from just being friendly and polite - and they come when you least expect it. My wife frequently chats up the CM's - especially when she sees an name badge from the Philly area. We've had CM's give us a special "ticket" for a fast pass entrance, "secret" tips, honorary pins, etc... and these all came from just being nice. I know it sounds trite, but treat the CM's as you want them to treat you and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I believe that, just being nice can get you small quirks. And that's everywhere, not just WDW. BUT for my children, I would love to win a night in the castle. A nice soak in that bath tub with the stars above glowing....Ahhh

Naw, I love the Dream Squad. They're super nice but are slaves to random computer generators (it really is ridiculous!).

Hi there! So I went to Disney Land this past summer and we got fastpasses to a lot of the rides for both parks. I think the key is to get there early and just keep a sharp eye out. We were one of the first ones in the park and right on the bridge there was a Dream Maker with lanyard! Its a lot of luck but if you keep your eye's peeled you might find something awesome! I am so sad...I never saw the Dream Team the whole time I was at WDW in September and I was there for 10 days. I did see people with Dream Fast Passes though, so I must have just missed them.

DISCLAIMER: Some may agree...others may not.
In all honestly...I really think Disney has done this the right way. Being random. If you search out for one of these teams, is it really a surprise? When you least expect it; some one taps your shoulder, or in my case you get an upgrade when getting something to eat. But to pursue and scope out people (borderline stalking) really takes the 'Magic' out of the whole situation.
