to DH and myself on our trip in Oct? It's our 1st anniversary and I'm hoping we'll be picked for a Dream. :) I know I can get a button for us that says it's our anniversary and that will help. Any other ideas? DH refuses to wear matching T-shirts. :(

The buttons won't hurt but I have to tell you I saw sooo many buttons on our trip, it seemed like everyone had some type of button.

Honestly, the dearm team has a certain thing they are looking for and I don't know that any one thing will help you. I have read it things like "The first person to drink out of a certain water fountain after a certain time" wins that prize. We saw several dreams being handed out and it was very random.

Yes, a CM told me the same thing . . . there is a "lottery" type drawing every morning telling the dream team, where to go and what to look for!

I am sorry you can't get your husband to wear matching shirts.
I had a graphic made of our family with each of us as stick figures wearing Mickey ears, with our names under each of us. My DH refuses to wear a shirt like that. Big old meanies!!

I think it may be better to not try to be to obivious to the dream team. It is really random, and I think they would be less likely to pick some who is trying too hard. I think you are more likely to be recognized by the cast members you come in contact with through the course your day like the front desk person or your server, there are little surprises that those cast members are doing. For my DH and I they put ballons for our aniversary in our room at Pop. I had just casually mentioned that it was our aniversay, and that happened on the last night.

Oh, also being a dream team is one of my dream jobs at Disney.

I have heard, like DT, that the Dream Team has already received their instructions about which guests they are looking for -- like "the first person in an orange shirt to ride Dumbo" or something strange and specific like that. My kids got lanyards because the Dream Team came into the M:S line and handed them out to the people in line... they started with the people in front and handed out two big boxes of lanyards, one to each person in the line as far as they lasted.

MissSMIG and I wore shirts on our trip this past April, hoping to catch the eye of the dream team - didn't work, but so many people loved the shirts.

If we go again next year, MissSMIG will be designing some new shirts for us to wear. I am hoping that we might get a small wish, but just being in DISNEY is more than enough for me.

As everyone says, time and place is set.

That said, you can improve your odds of getting one of the little prizes by being friendly and chatting with CMs. They can't directly give you something, but in some of the walk through things they may say, "hey, you should really go explore room XXX..." because they know that just out of sight, Dream Ears or lanyards are being given to people who walk through there.

Thanks everyone! I always try to talk to CM's. They're a wealth of knowledge and fascinating people! I'll just stick to being in the parks a lot and talking. :)

I watched a promo on the WDW official website & got to watch someone be awarded the Cinderella suite.....ok I hope more of you saw this, the people that WON looked as though they could have cared less....

I was so excited to watch it...thinking holy moly that is a dream cast member and holy goodness they are going to freak out..... I waited and and waited..... NO REAL RESPONSE..... I yelled out loud ARE YOU KIDDING ME????????? I could have smacked him one. I would have been bawling my eyes out... my DH would have cried too... I couldn't run fast enough is that was us...... are you kidding me.

You could always wear the bride and groom ears but that would make it look more like your honeymoon. As far as it being a "lottery" I heard that it is a comp program that is soooooo random it hurts. It picks the ride, the time, the seat, the attraction...ANYTHING!

WooHoo talked her DH into wearing Bride and groom ears for their anniversary. I don't recall them getting a wish, but they did get to be Grand Marshall's.
