I want to see pictures & hear stories about 'Le Mont!!' I am VERY jealous!!! But also SO happy it was a fellow MB member who won. Which hotel did you stay at on Le Mont? And if you say the Relais or La Mere Poulard, I am never talking to you again. I kid, I kid.
No, La Mere Poulard is too expensive! St. Auberge, that was pretty nice. Not fancy, of course - and not that expensive, either. I think about $120 per night, not including breakfast on the two trips we stayed there. Priced like staying in a moderate resort at Disney! A woman came up to us the first time we were there, and asked us where we were staying. I said "on property". :) My DH thought that was really funny.

We stayed 2 nights the first time, 3 the second. It is an AMAZING place!!!

------ I am sure I will have loads more questions!!! Thanks so much for answering!!!
I would guess that most guests are in the middle of a resort stay, and keep their rooms. My family was only there for one night, and cancelled their rooms.

9am is "out" time

They took our luggage to bell services at the Polynesian. We stayed in the park for a while afterwards.

I have an AP, but nearly everyone else had seasonals. They had bought a one day ticket for the previous day, and were allowed to stay in the park as long as they wanted the next. That was a very nice bonus.

We also received 2 MK fastpasses per person. I have 8 to use by January!

I hope that helps. :)

The one nice thing about Mont St. Michel (besides the history) - you can leave the room anytime! Definitely, the castle is very special. But I have so many special events over the past few years, I need to really stick it in the "top 10". But that is a big deal (top 10 including touching Stonehenge, being on Mont St. Michel, going to an inaugural ball, picnic under the Eiffel Tower, going to Omaha Beach, Alcatraz at night, etc.) I have really been very fortunate to have great experiences. I probably should throw my wedding in too, that was casual and fun! I have pics here under the Europe album of Mont St. Michel and other places:

The last one (just a ball, not the inaugural itself). A different portion of my family always goes. I finally figured that I might not have many more chances to go, so we did.

That's so awesome!! An inaugural ball would be such a dream for me! I'd spent 6 months planning the dress, accessories, & hair. I am assuming you are talking about the US here, right? Did you get to see Barney? Was he at the ball with a little tuxedo on? haha, I won't share my views on the current human administration but I AM crazy for Barney and Miss Beasley. I ADORE them & am going to miss all their White House videos terribly. I have a Scottie, that's probably why.

No Barney. :) And I would have gone no matter WHO was taking office. If I get the opportunity the next time, I'd do the same.

I'm not a terribly fancy person, not at all - it was the second (and last) time I've had my nails done. But I went to an outlet store on International Drive, and I picked up a pretty dress for $15.00! The shawl was a little more, but the whole outfit with shoes was probably less than $60.00. I did my own hair. DH got a tux from a local mall, which he picked up in the DC area and dropped off along the way. I'm sure it was cheaper to order it here than it would have been there! We had another event that we were going to while there, I needed a dress for that. I picked up a dress at the same store (I LOVED the dress, but I've lost too much weight since and gave it away) for about $29.00. I'm really cheap! I expect I used some cheap accessories from my drawer too, I have very little of any sort of jewelry.

I'd brought my own (you never know when you'll need them, or if they will be the real ones!)
