We received a Garden Family Dream at Epcot! Family of the day!!!!
Woohoo!
It was amazing! We arrived early and wanted to check and see if we could move our ADR up a few hours because we were famished. They were more than happy to move us to the first seating. We were thankful and went downstairs to ride Living with the Land so we could get a glimpse of the resturant and the food we would be eating. As we checked back in at 11:00, the Host was excited and after some hoopla, he said "well, lucky you- your family is the Garden Family of the day"! We were not sure what that meant but it sounded neat! As we sat down, we learned it included: The chef personally bringing out a complimentry appetizer they were trying out for possible addition to the menu - he visited with us a bit about our visit and the ride ect... (EXCELLENT Bar-b-Que ribs and I don't usually eat that!) Special blinky ice cubes Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale visiting our table at the same time for photos ect... They stayed for a LONG time Chip and Dale were SO naughty poking at our ears being goofy and trying to steal food! LOL! During their rounds they also kept stopping in to say hi again and clapping- indicating that we were "the family of the day" Everyone around us was a bit confused! At the end, we were given a YOMD card and filled it out for the "Family Album" Edit to add- Ohhhh DH reminded me - I forgot to add - we also received a yellow paper that was a ticket (essentially one fastpass) for all three of us to any ride in EPCOT that day. I don't think we even used it- I will check the receipts and see if I can scan it for everyone. It was so fun! We had envied all the people with dream passes but the special treatment from the characters as well as the staff at Garden Grill was far more special for us than the fastpasses which at Epcot that day we wouldn't have needed anyway! Plus the food was EXCELLENT! Kudos to Disney for another magical day created! Zoey

They are so used to me using the "secrets" I learn here to do fun stuff, they STILL won't believe me that I didn't ARRANGE THE DREAM! They just don't get that you cannot schedule a dream like a CRT reservation! Thanks everyone! It was fun, I couldn't wait to share! Good Luck to everyone! Zoey
